We don’t need professional career politicians who come to Washington, DC and become millionaires. If I decide to run, I will only serve three terms in Congress if elected, a total of six years. I will push for Term Limits!

The greatest generation taught us the value of families. We must protect our senior citizens from the rising cost of healthcare and our children from social media sexual predators.

Spending the majority of my career associated with sports and building teams, strong family values and winning teams have many of the same characteristics. Americans deserve the chance to be on a winning team.  

The illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and people across our borders wreaks havoc on our communities. Immigration reform should mean putting the safety and security of the American people first and enforcing our nation’s laws. There are more than 300 land, air, and sea ports in the United States that receive imported cargo. Border patrol and customs agents face the daunting challenge of deterring dangerous substances such as illegal narcotics, new synthetic drugs, potential chemical weapons, and explosives, from entering the country while facilitating commerce and safe travel. Agents are responsible for protecting more than 5,000 miles of border with Canada, 1,900 miles of border with Mexico, and 95,000 miles of shoreline. The Biden administration abandoning the security of the Southern Border puts these operations at risk, and not only creates an illegal immigration crisis, but makes the United States more vulnerable.  We must give the border patrol the resources they need and the ability to do their job.

Illegal immigration and sanctuary cities drain our country’s financial resources in healthcare, education, and overwhelms our legal system. The Biden administration MUST secure the border.

It’s probably not something you think about every day, but the degree that America is dependent on foreign countries for our energy is a national security risk that has only gotten worse under the Biden administration. You experience the impacts with fluctuating prices for gas. Energy independence often refers to decreasing or eliminating the U.S.’ dependence on other countries for oil and fuel; doing so would not only increase our country’s economic stability and growth but it would also provide us with increased security as we no longer need to rely on other countries. Saudi Arabia, Iraq, China and Russia are all huge exporters of energy, and the United States is focusing on stopping pipelines, oil, and other extraction industries from producing what we need to drive, heat our homes, and create American Energy Independence.  I will support putting American Energy first, reducing or dependence on foreign countries and lowering prices at the pump.

31% of U.S. households struggle to pay their utility bills at the end of each month. Energy independence can provide budget stability. Instead of purchasing barrels of oil from other countries, the US is able to supply more of its own needs, which allows money to be cycled more easily back into the American economy. Thus, creating a sector of high paying jobs in our energy industry.

The high cost of healthcare affects everyone, sick or well. The average family health insurance premium in the United States is approaching $20,000 annually. Consumers are paying more out of pocket, and health insurance premiums have become unaffordable for many lower- and middle-income Americans. Healthcare suffers from numerous forms of market failure, led by the consolidation of major providers, health plans, manufacturers, and distributors of healthcare products.

We must lower prescription costs, Americans pay almost four times more for pharmaceutical drugs than citizens of other developed countries. High hospital prices are a leading driver of high and rising costs in the U.S. healthcare system, resulting in insurance premium growth that outpaces the growth in wages and inflation. In particular, the cost of hospital care accounts for one-third of all U.S. healthcare expenditures. We need a healthcare system that is affordable for the American people and better-quality care. I support more transparent pricing that avoids so called surprise billing and informs consumers up front about the choices available to them and what the cots are.  I also support easier access to generic drugs that can save lives and result in lower costs to consumers.

Free Speech is our 1st Amendment right, it’s precious. Should Big Tech have the power to control what we see, hear, and even think? Online censorship shouldn’t be a partisan issue. We have seen over the past few years, Big Tech censor free speech, only allowing one party to be heard, it’s time to break-up Big Tech. Big Tech giants, like Facebook and Twitter, who have demonstrated their willingness to ban and censor users they determine do not align with their progressive ideals. They are on a mission to police free speech out of existence, and Congress must act to hold Big Tech accountable. So far, the Big Tech monopoly of power has gone fairly unchecked. Their ticket to unlimited power is called Section 230 of the Communications and Decency Act. 

We hear a lot about large companies in the news, but small business is the engine of the U.S. economy.  America is home to more than 28 million small businesses that employ roughly 57 million workers. Small business owners are America’s most important job creators: U.S. small businesses accounted for almost two-thirds of the net new jobs created between 1993 and 2018 It is no secret that the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on small business. As a small business owner, one of my businesses was crushed during COVID-19 pandemic. Policymaking at the federal, state, and local level should prioritize business expansion and job creation, fueling a small business engine that can generate short- and long-term economic growth. We must reward people who take risk in starting a business, reduce taxes and government regulations.

I support cutting red tape on small businesses allowing them to invest in growing their business in hiring staff, rather than focus on overregulated bureaucracies that only hinder their ability to grow. I also support expanding workforce training opportunities so small businesses can help their employees gain skills in order to grow with the company they work, rather than grow out of the company.

The national debt stands at more than $26 trillion. The United States national debt is currently larger than the economies of China, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom combined. One of the single greatest threats to our national security is our debt. Our Federal Government serves the people, under no circumstances should elected officials be allowed to spend more money than they take in. Congress must find ways to balance the budget and support passing a Balanced Budget Amendment.

Make voting by showing Voter ID, we need ID to get on a plane, buy alcohol, get a loan, get a driver’s license, buy cigarettes, open a bank account, apply for food stamps, apply for unemployment or a job, get married, buy a cell phone, the list goes on. It’s only common sense you should also need one to vote.

But it doesn’t stop there: We MUST return to paper ballots that cannot be hacked. States should be required to clean up voter rolls per each election. Each political party should be allowed to see votes being counted with observers who can follow a transparent process

Each state must finish counting votes on election night. This isn’t difficult, it’s common sense.  No one should be left scratching their head two weeks after an election as votes continue to be tabulated without observers present. It’s no wonder many Americans have lost confidence in our election process.

For months, parents have raised the alarm about the left’s effort to brainwash our children by injecting Critical Race Theory (CRT) into public school curriculum. At its core, CRT segregates people into two main categories: oppressors or victims. The calculation is based solely on skin color. We can all agree that racism and discrimination are wrong and have no place in the classroom, or our nation. The last thing educators should be doing is encouraging our children to be ashamed of the color of their skin. While parents struggle to help their children manage the mental and emotional damage inflicted by this dangerous ideology, the left will continue to re-write our education system to fit their woke agenda. They won’t stop until CRT is in every classroom in America. I will gladly stand with Georgia parents to demand an end to this latest, unhinged attempt to brainwash our nation’s children.

Every 60 seconds a child drops out of a public school in America. In many of our nation’s largest cities dropout rates exceed 50 percent. America is lagging behind more than a dozen other nations in math and literacy. Families deserve to have the freedom to choose the educational environment that serves their children best, regardless of financial ability or home address. The vast majority of credible evidence shows that school choice programs improve academic outcomes for not only the program participants but also the students in public schools; save taxpayers money; and reduce racial segregation. The definition of “School Choice” allows families to take their children’s education dollars to the approved education provider of their choosing.

Parents should have a wide range of high-quality schools or educational options to choose from, be it traditional public schools, public charter schools, private schools, virtual learning, or home schooling. Education funding is meant for educating children, not for protecting a particular institution. We should fund students, not systems. I fully support efforts to implement school choice for parents at the state, local, and federal levels.

The federal government employs nearly 9.1 million workers, comprising nearly 6 percent of total employment in the United States. The figure includes nearly 2.1 million federal employees, 4.1 million contract employees, 1.2 million grant employees, 1.3 million active-duty military personnel, and more than 500,000 postal service employees. Many of the individuals serving our nation are high quality workers who provide necessary and worthwhile services.

During downturns, many businesses have to pull back on operations or payroll, but since Washington has the power of taxation and printing dollars, there is no incentive for tightening its belt beyond vapid election year promises. However, many taxpayers may not realize they are additionally subsidizing a ballooning shadow government of some 5.3 million contract and grant employees. While politicians often promise to cut the size of government, many fail to acknowledge the increasing number of contract workers. The use of contract workers can be a dangerous means of hiding the true cost of the federal government workforce from the general public. Often contractors are used for practical reasons, like temporary projects not requiring full time employment. But in other cases, these contractors can actually come at a much steeper cost than full time federal workers.

Research shows that hiring contractors was more expensive for most positions than simply using civilian employees. Contract workers are especially costly and the number of contractors hired by the federal government has more than doubled. We cannot sustain ourselves without a public sector workforce, but an increasingly bloated class of government employees in powerful unions and corporations seeking contracts is a recipe for disaster. Government needs to be nimble rather than creating perverse incentives for higher compensation for work that could be done in more productive sectors of the economy.

Politicians treat the government workforce as a jobs program rather than fostering taxpayer efficiency. Members of Congress are not playing with house money. They are playing with your money. Many elected officials have never run a business.  As a small business owner, I believe we need people in Washington, DC who have the skills and knowledge to identify and eliminate wasteful government spending.  

The Second Amendment guarantees Americans the fundamental right “to keep and bear arms”.  The Supreme Court correctly interpreted this guarantee as an individual right as opposed to a collective right enjoyed only by colonial militias. Many gun control efforts threaten the rights of law-abiding Americans while criminals’ intent on hurting themselves or others continue to ignore the law. These efforts also harm the ability of Americans to protect themselves and their families, disproportionately hurting minorities and those living in high-crime areas.

Why is the Second Amendment important? The Second Amendment protects an individual’s right to keep and bear arms against prohibition by Congress and state and local legislatures. However, while governmental agencies can’t ban firearms that are “in common use” for “lawful purposes,” they continue to have legal latitude in the passage of legislative controls. We must understand the importance of the Second Amendment to the right of individual self-defense and personal liberty, and carrying a handgun is part of exercising your Second Amendment rights.

While we continue to live under the freedoms protected by the Constitution, we are currently a nation divided. Not a week goes by without people being fired from their workplace or “canceled” in the court of public opinion for expressing their viewpoints. Free speech is under attack. The truth is, in the current cultural climate, many are hesitant to express their opinions for risk of being attacked, online and off. Anyone who expresses an opinion is at risk of demonization and blacklisting. It is these tactics that are eroding our ability to truly tolerate and respect our neighbors.

We are a better and stronger nation when we allow diversity of thought to flourish. Throughout history, dissenting viewpoints have often exposed truth and brought about greater justice. Without a commitment to diversity of opinion, on the other hand, individuals are demonized for their speech. Together, let’s end the ideological blacklisting and recommit to embracing true diversity.
